It's not the same without your furry friend!
A family camping holiday isn’t just for the grown ups and little ones. We also can’t forget about our furry friends. Dogs are our best friends, after all, so it’s only natural to want to share those fun-filled holiday memories with them. They’re the ultimate outdoor companion, with an excitement for adventure and a willingness to explore the great outdoors right by your side.
Dogs stay for FREE!
That’s why, at Fallow Fields, we like to offer a big welcome to your well-behaved pooches, great and small, at no extra charge. From terriers in tents to cockapoos in camper vans, we provide camping in Kent with dogs accepted at both our Selson Farm and Lathe Barn campsites. Please note that we do not permit dogs inside our furnished bell tents.
If you’re planning on inviting Fido along for the family camping holiday, then we do ask you to keep your four-legged friend on a lead at all times. We’re a family-friendly campsite that welcomes all types of visitors. That means some of your fellow Fallow Fields visitors may not be as big of a fan of canine campers as you are. They may even be a bit scared by them. So, by keeping them on the lead, we can make sure everyone enjoys a nice, relaxing stay with us.
Of course, we also ask you to clean up after your dog too. Families come to our campsites to enjoy the beautiful rolling Kent countryside and play in our wide open spaces. The last thing they want when setting up their tent is any nasty surprises left behind for them. So, please be considerate of others and don’t leave any dog mess behind.
Our dog friendly campsites in Kent have everything you need for Rover to have a roaring good time at Fallow Fields. We have an area next to the farm where you can stretch your legs and take your dog for a good walk. We also have an onsite camp shop with locally sourced produce. That means you can treat your pooch to a barbecued sausage or two if they’ve been on their best behaviour.
One of the biggest attractions of camping in Kent with dogs is being able to explore the natural beauty with your fluffy friend. We’re lucky to be situated close to some great beaches that are dog friendly. These include Sandwich Bay and Walmer Beach, where you can run across your sand and splash in the waves with the whole family.
You can find out more about dog friendly beaches in Kent here. Do be mindful that some beaches that are listed as being dog friendly may still have certain restrictions in place. This may include prohibited areas in order to protect the local wildlife and habitats. Additionally, some beaches where dogs are restricted may only have seasonal bans between April/May and September. You can find further information on the beach descriptions, so you can be sure whether pooches are permitted before you plan your trip.
