Fallow Fields Covid-19 Policies

We’re dedicated to keeping all our campers safe during these unprecedented times. You can find out all the information about our Covid-19 policies and procedures below.

Before contacting us, please make sure you have read all of the relevant Covid-19 information and our FAQs for general queries.

Please accept our apologies for any delay in replying to your query. We are a small team and during busy periods, it can take us some time to get through all the emails. However, we endeavour to reply within 48 hours.

Facilities and Social Distancing

We have six acres in total at Selson Farm and just over 8 acres at Lathe Barn. There is a pre-assigned pitch system in place so that we can guarantee space between pitches. That means you can relax by your tent in peace and safety. We will endeavour to keep groups of up to four pitches/bell tents next to each other where requested.

The shop, showers and toilet facilities will be deep cleaned twice per day, with regular wipe downs of touch points throughout the day too. In the camp shop, we will be accepting card transactions only.

We ask all our campers to respect each other and adhere to any guidelines set by the government for everyone’s safety and peace of mind. Anyone not following these guidelines will be asked to leave.

Group Bookings

Groups of up to four pitches/bell tents are welcome at Fallow Fields. We will allocate pitches next to each other where advised during booking.

Groups are asked to respect our other campers and keep noise to a minimum. We have quiet time onsite from 10.30pm until 7.30am and anyone not adhering to this will be asked to leave. Groups will also need to respect any social distancing requirements as per the current government guidelines at the time of their stay.

If you have made a booking on behalf of someone else, please ensure they are aware of these guidelines. Anyone not adhering to these guidelines will be asked to leave.

Hygiene Measures

We take pride in ensuring high levels of hygiene on site at all times, particularly in the showers, toilets and other communal areas. With the additional concern of Covid-19, we will be carrying out extra measures in all our communal areas. We have placed hand sanitiser stations around the campsite.

Our staff have also increased the frequency of cleaning our public areas with the use of high-grade disinfectants and sanitisers.

We also ask all campers to wipe down touch points before and after use of facilities.

Bell Tents Bookings

Our bell tents are already placed at an 8-10m gap around our main camping field. We will allocate tent pitches at a 4-6m distance from them and each other.

All furnished bell tents will have the additional measure of an antibacterial fogger used in them between hires. This will kill 99.99% of germs and stay active on surfaces for up to 30 days. Fresh bedding will be provided but if you prefer to bring your own, let us know and we will only provide a mattress protector and sheet.

Food and Drinks

Covid-19 is a respiratory illness and scientific advice suggests it’s unlikely that you can catch it from food. However, our Field Kitchen, Gin & Fizz bar and shop team will continue to work to the highest of hygiene standards.

A full menu is available throughout the season for several evenings a week and breakfasts are available on the weekends. All orders must be pre booked through the website.

Activities

Our normal activities are subject to change based on government guidance. We will be offering bush craft sessions for a maximum of 12 people on a Saturday. Mini sessions are also available on Wednesdays in the half term and school summer holidays. You can keep an eye on our Things to Do page for full details of the activities we offer.

We will work to ensure that all our campers have the best experience possible and will keep everyone updated on all activities available prior to arrival.

What to Do if You Feel Ill During Your Stay

If you experience any symptoms of Covid-19 during your stay at Fallow Fields, please leave the campsite and return home as soon as you can, while ensuring you don’t come into contact with others. Symptoms include a new, continuous cough, high temperature, or loss or change in your normal sense of taste and smell.

If you must leave the campsite, please leave a message on the site telephone so they are aware of your early departure or email enquiries@fallowfieldscamping.com. Once you have arrived home, you should contact the NHS to arrange a test and continue to follow government guidance on self-isolation and social distancing.

Please note, for public health and safety, your contact information may be shared with NHS Test and Trace if this situation arises.

What Happens if Fallow Fields Cannot Open?

In the event that government guidance means we are closed at the time of your booking, your deposit payment will be held on your customer record for rebooking until the end of the following season.

These measures form part of our T&Cs during this time, and we reserve the right to update them in accordance with government guidelines. If you are concerned about how these measures will affect your booking, please contact us on enquiries@fallowfieldscamping.com or call 0800 035 0002.
